6 May 2012

Hi everyone

A brief Beacon News this Bank Holiday Weekend...

We want to encourage you to attend the Freedom in Christ course that continues on Tuesday at 7pm if at all possible. The first two weeks have provided a firm foundation for all that follows. Let's pray that individually and corporately God will bring us to a place of much greater freedom.

Women Growing Together is this Thursday @ 10.15am.

Next Sunday we conclude the series on Passion looking at having a Passion for the Church.

Beacon News 9 April 2012

Hi everyone

We hope you had a great Easter weekend and are seeing the theories that we so often talk about becoming life changing realities in our everyday experiences.

A brief edition of Beacon News for the Bank Holiday!

Bacton Village News May 2012

Controversies and disappointments abound. Whether it is the Boat Race or politics, local planning applications or health, we are all faced with issues that raise legitimate concerns. Between the resurrection and ascension of Jesus the disciples began the process of transformation from the disappointed to the dynamic, as the reality of God's plan unfolded.

Hi everyone

Hope your week has begun well. It was great to hear Nic Tivey yesterday morning, with the encouragement to 'train' and not simply to 'try' to be the people that God has called us to be.

This week

Beacon News 5 March 2012

Hi everyone

It was wonderful to see Steve and June baptised yesterday morning! Pray for them this week as they have taken a stand for God and that always puts us in the firing line. But greater is He that is in us that He who is in the world!

Remember that there is no Christianity Explored course, or Connect Groups, this week as we have 'Encounter' on Tuesday evening at The Beacon Centre (7.30pm). Please try and make these meetings a priority as we pray for the world and also things much closer to home. God wants to impact us with His love!

Bacton Village News February 2012

Varying opinions assault us from all sides. Not too long ago some were saying that New Year resolutions are always a waste of time, whilst others point out that statistically a person is more likely to improve if goals are clearly defined. By now, the truth will have hit most of us!

Bacton Village News November 2011

Thanks to all those who attended our October Harvest Fun Day. About 100 people came through during the afternoon and the proceeds went to the East Africa Crisis Appeal. It was great to see all ages milling around together.

Beacon News (new season ) September 2011

Hi everyone

Welcome back to the autumn series of Beacon News emails. I hope you had a good summer and are now ready for all that God wants to do in the last 4 months of 2011.

We had a great prayer meeting last night and I would strongly encourage all who are able to make this first Tuesday of the month (7.30-8.30pm @ The Beacon Centre) a real priority.

Anticipation!

From Bacton Village News October 2011

Having something to look forward to is always encouraging! This month we have two events planned that we would love to invite you to. On Saturday 8th October we have another Fun Day at The Beacon Centre from 2.00pm to 5.00pm. There will be events for all the family, and any money raised will be for the East African famine relief.

Welcome

Beacon is a new church that was birthed in March 2009.

We are fortunate in being able to use the premises of the former Bacton Baptist Church that met on the current site for many years. The planting of a church is a time for laying new foundations, or values, based on a fresh vision of what we believe that God is saying.
